Academic WorldQuest of KC

The International Relations Council of Kansas City (IRC) hosts the Academic WorldQuest competition (AWQ), a copyrighted program of the World Affairs Council of America that is held in more than 40 cities throughout the country annually. The competition invites local high school students to compete with their peers in a demonstration of their knowledge and understanding of world affairs, geography, history, and current events. The winners of our regional competition then continue on to represent Kansas City at the national competition, held in Washington, D.C.
